THE PROJECT

The scenography for Ivete Sangalo at The Town festival in 2025 balanced a sense of visual grandeur with the need for a wide stage to allow for the free movement of the artist and her dancers. The core solution involved unfolding the stage surface into multiple levels, utilizing a large background catwalk and positioning the entire band on side platforms to ensure full visibility of the musicians without obstructing the central area. By cladding these structures in LED panels and applying visual content that engaged with the architectural geometry, a dynamic ‘digital scenography’ was created, allowing for a wide range of uses. To prioritize the freedom of movement for the artist and her dancers, the entire central area was kept clear, featuring a modular staircase as the only built element; this could assume various configurations to create diverse scene movements. Designed for the logistical viability of a national tour, the solution was developed prioritizing rentable equipment and layouts adaptable to different stage sizes.
