THE PROJECT
For the Ostras Frescas party at the Arca space, we converted a 9,000 m² former industrial warehouse into an experience of proximity, overcoming the challenge of spatial dispersion within a large-scale hall. The intervention utilized contrasting proportions, starting with a low-clearance entrance tunnel that led the audience to a central ‘cocoon’: a monumental curved fabric lighting fixture with a 120m perimeter and 5m height suspended over the dance floor. This structure, integrated with lighting, laser, and smoke equipment, created a virtual canopy to delimit the dancing area and reduce the perceived ceiling height, while service areas remained in the darker parts around the perimeter. The result is a scenographic architecture that converts industrial rigidity into a welcoming refuge, replacing straight lines with curves and emptiness with intimacy.
